Minimum aluminum: 99.60%. Major impurities are Fe (≤ 0.35%) and Si (≤ 0.25%). 1060 sits between 1050 (Al ≥ 99.50%) and 1070 (Al ≥ 99.70%) in the 1xxx purity range.

1060 is non-heat-treatable. It is strengthened only by cold work. Tempers ending in T (T3, T6, T8, T351, T851, etc.) are not applicable to 1060 - these belong to 2xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx series alloys.

Third-party inspection by SGS, BV, or another nominated agency is available on request and at buyer's cost.
