2A14 Aluminum Sheet

2A14 aluminum sheets are characterized by high hardness and hard aluminum alloy. Among them, the content of copper is the highest, about 3-5%. Has good machinability. Resistivity. Good spot welding and seam welding performance. Can be strengthened by heat treatment. There is a squeezing effect. Thus, the vertical and horizontal performance are different. The tensile strength of 2A14 aluminum plate can reach 420MPa. The elongation is more than 10%.

2024 Aluminum Plate Characteristics

1. The elongation of 2A14 aluminum plate is over 10% , the hardness can reach 135HB, and the natural aging can reach 15h.

2,2A14 aluminum plate has good machinability, its resistivity, spot welding and seam welding performance is also very good.

3,2A14 aluminum plate with 2A11 aluminum plate, is a hard aluminum alloy, high strength, good thermal conductivity, can do heat treatment.

Uses

2A14 is used for applications requiring high strength and hardness (including high temperatures) , such as aircraft heavy, forgings, heavy plates and extruded materials, wheels and structural elements, first stage fuel tanks for multistage rockets and spacecraft parts, parts of truck frame and suspension system.

2A14 Aluminum Plate Heat Treatment

Homogenization annealing

Heating 475 ~ 490 °C; Heat Preservation 12 ~ 14h; furnace cooling.

Complete Annealing

Heating 350 ~ 400 °C, holding time 30 ~ 120 min according to material thickness, air cooling after furnace temperature dropping below 300 °C/H at 30 ~ 50 °C.

Rapid annealing

Heating 350 ~ 460 °C; holding time 30 ~ 120 min; air cooling.

Quenching and aging

Quenching at 495 ~ 505 °C, water cooling and natural aging at room temperature for 96 H.
