GNEE supplies equal aluminium angle - an extruded L-shaped profile with two legs of the same length meeting at 90°. It is a light, corrosion-resistant alternative to steel angle for framing, supports and brackets where weight and finish matter. ✅ What we actually check before shipping
Before packing, we measure the leg length (both legs, A and B), leg thickness and the 90° angle on a sample from the batch, then check straightness and twist along the length. We read the alloy mark on the profile and compare it to the Mill Test Certificate (MTC) heat number. For anodized orders we check coating appearance and, where required, coating thickness. This is done against the confirmed drawing or purchase order you approved - so what you specified is what gets loaded.

Note on tempers: aluminium angle is an extruded profile, so the common tempers are T5, T6 and T6511 (the "1" denotes extrusion). This is different from plate tempers such as T651. Not every temper is available for every alloy - tell us your application and we will recommend the right one.

 

Available Alloys and Tempers

6063 (T5 / T6): architectural grade. Smooth surface, best anodizing response. Used for window/door frames, trims, displays.

6061 (T6 / T6511): structural grade. Higher strength, good machining and welding. Used for machine frames, brackets, trailers, fixtures.

6082 (T6 / T6511): high-strength structural grade. Preferred in Europe for load-bearing frames, bridges, scaffolding, marine structures.

 

Dimensions and Weight

Equal leg angles are sized by leg × leg × thickness (e.g. 50×50×5 mm). Standard stock lengths are 1 m, 3 m and 6 m; longer or cut lengths are available against drawing.

Theoretical weight formula (kg/m): 0.0027 × t × (A + B − t), where A and B are leg sizes (mm) and t is thickness (mm). Example: 50×50×5 mm ≈ 1.28 kg/m. Weights are theoretical; the per-lot value is confirmed on the MTC.

Density ≈ 2.70 g/cm³ for the 6xxx series. Hardness (Brinell): 6063 ≈ 60–75 HB, 6061 ≈ 90 HB, 6082 ≈ 95 HB (indicative).

How to Choose the Right Alloy

Quality and Certification

Every shipment comes with an MTC (EN 10204 3.1) showing the heat number and mechanical results. Third-party inspection such as SGS can be arranged at your request. Material is packed for long-distance sea freight and supplied to common standards ASTM B221 and EN 755 where applicable. If your project requires a specific standard or certificate, write it in your inquiry so we can confirm.

 

Cutting and Processing

We can cut angles to your required length and miter. Other processing such as CNC machining, drilling or surface treatment can be discussed case by case. Send your drawings or sizes with the inquiry.

 

Packaging and Shipping

Angles are bundled, separated by PE film or paper, strapped on seaworthy wooden pallets or in cases, and protected for export. We ship from Tianjin, Shanghai and Qingdao, and we can work with your nominated freight forwarder.
