1050 Aluminum Round Pipe

Aluminum alloy 1050 with high content alloys and  are also known as having a high EC (Electrical Conductivity). These alloys contain a minimum of 99.5% aluminum and are more electrically conductive than other 1000 series aluminum. These are the preferred aluminum alloys in the transformer and switchgear markets, as they offer the most economical conductivity in the 1000 series. Although other aluminum items have higher aluminum content, most find those alloys as difficult to source and are exponentially more expensive than the 1050 and 1350 alloys.

1050 Aluminium Alloy Mechanical Properties

Aluminum 1050 has excellent formability and weldability due to its low carbon content (<0.10%). It can be cold-formed or hot-formed depending on your application needs. It also offers good machinability with a Brinell hardness rating between 10-12 HBW/HBV/HBS. Additionally, it has good fatigue strength which makes it perfect for applications that require frequent flexing or bending such as springs or brackets.
