The 1100 grade belongs to the 1xxx series of aluminum. It contains at least 99.0% pure aluminum. It is a non-heat-treatable alloy, meaning it cannot be hardened by heat treatment. Instead, its strength is achieved and modified through cold working or strain hardening. Due to its purity, it offers the highest corrosion resistance among all aluminum alloys.
H112 is a specific temper designation. It indicates that the aluminum has been strain-hardened during working at elevated temperatures, such as during the extrusion process.
