The application of 5052 aluminum alloy in the field of tank trucks is mainly reflected in its excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight characteristics and good processing performance.
5052 alloy plate contains 2.2-2.8% magnesium element, forming Al3Mg2 strengthening phase, which makes it show excellent corrosion resistance in the transportation of petroleum products. It is particularly suitable for loading gasoline, diesel and other fuels, and can effectively resist the corrosion of sulfides and organic acids.
In the manufacture of tank trucks, 5052 aluminum alloy is mainly used for key components such as fuel tanks, oil pipelines and tank accessories. The fuel tank uses 2-4mm thick 5052-H32 plate, which is formed by TIG welding process. The dead weight is reduced by more than 40% compared with traditional steel tanks, which significantly improves the fuel economy of the vehicle.
Its density is only 2.68g/cm³, which ensures structural strength while achieving significant lightweight effects. The 6×4 tractor adopts an all-aluminum fuel tank to reduce weight by 150-200kg. The 5052 aluminum plate produced in accordance with the GB/T 3880-2012 standard has good formability and can be processed by deep drawing, bending and other complex processes to meet the manufacturing needs of various special-shaped parts of tank trucks.
