What is 1145 alloy aluminum foil?
Alloy 1145 aluminum foil and its sister alloy 1235 have a minimum aluminum content of 99.45% and have almost identical chemical and physical properties. Sometimes certain production lots can be dual certified for 1145 and 1235 alloys. Like 1100 aluminum alloy, both are considered commercially pure alloys with excellent formability.
Due to its high aluminum content, 1145 aluminum alloy conducts electricity even better than 1100 alloy. Alloy 1145, on the other hand, is becoming less available on the market as many find 1235 alloy more readily available as it responds equally well in most applications.
