Battery aluminum foil is used as the positive current collector of potassium batteries and is one of the indispensable components of the battery.
The battery aluminum foil itself accounts for less than 1% of the cost of the battery, but the cathode material it carries accounts for more than 70% of the cost of the battery.
The amount of aluminum foil used in batteries is very small, about a few kilograms. The installed capacity of 1GWH battery is 400~600 tons for aluminum foil ion batteries and 800~1000 tons for sodium ions.
Surface quality: The surface dyne value is required to be above 30dyn/mm, or even 33dyn/mm. This means a fairly smooth and uniform surface is required.

Areal density and end face quality: The thickness of the aluminum foil is required to be uniform, and the end face quality of the aluminum foil is required, that is, the end face is required to be free of burrs and jagged cracks.
Mechanical properties: Strength requirements are gradually increased from 180-200MPA to 280-300MPA. This indicates the need for aluminum foils with high strength and high elongation.
Plate shape quality: The plate shape requires automatic control by a plate shape meter to achieve a specific I value. At the same time, the sag amount detected by tension needs to meet the standard.
Pinhole requirements: The fewer the number of pinholes, the better, and the diameter of the pinholes should also be as small as possible. Pinholes refer to small holes in aluminum foil, usually the smaller the better the quality of the product.
