Bulk Aluminum Veneer Panel Surface Spraying Process

Custom-size aluminum panels are manufactured from high-quality, high-strength aluminum alloy sheets. Common thicknesses include 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.0 mm. The typical alloy grade is 3003 with H24 temper. Structurally, the panels are composed of the face sheet, stiffening ribs, and corner connectors.

Bulk aluminum panels are widely used as exterior wall decorative materials. Made primarily from aluminum alloy, they feature low weight, high strength, and excellent corrosion resistance. Aluminum veneer curtain wall panels are elegant in appearance and available in a wide range of colors, meeting the aesthetic requirements of modern architecture while adding a distinctive artistic character to buildings.

Bulk aluminum panels offer outstanding quality and performance. They are resistant to aging, maintain long-lasting color brightness, and provide strong corrosion and UV resistance, allowing them to perform reliably in various harsh environments. In addition, aluminum veneer curtain wall systems offer thermal insulation, sound insulation, and fire-resistant properties, making them one of the most commonly used materials in contemporary architectural decoration.

Bulk aluminum panels are extensively applied in the exterior wall decoration of commercial buildings, office towers, hotels, and public facilities. They are environmentally friendly and align well with the requirements of modern green buildings. In recent years, aluminum veneer curtain walls have also been increasingly adopted in residential projects, with continuous improvements in quality. More households now choose aluminum veneer as an exterior wall decorative material. These developments have made aluminum veneer curtain walls an important component of China's construction industry, delivering both visual appeal and reliable performance. GNEE provides professional aluminum panel solutions to meet these diverse application needs.

Fluorocarbon Spraying Process for Bulk Aluminum Panels

Bulk aluminum panel coating adopts a fluorocarbon spraying process. The main procedures are as follows:

Pre-treatment Process

Aluminum degreasing and decontamination (acid pickling for approximately 10 minutes) → water rinsing (two stages of clean water) → chromizing (about 5 minutes) → water rinsing (two stages of clean water) → drying at 100°C.

Spraying Process

Hanging (panels are suspended on the conveyor line) → surface polishing and decontamination → primer spraying → topcoat spraying → clear coat application → curing (baking at 180°C–250°C for about 20 minutes) → quality inspection → unloading → protective film packaging.

Purpose of Each Spraying Step

Pre-treatment
Before coating aluminum alloy profiles and sheets, the surface must be degreased, cleaned, and chemically treated to form a chromizing film. This improves adhesion between the coating and the metal surface, enhances oxidation resistance, and helps extend the service life of the paint film.

Hanging
Aluminum panels of different shapes are mounted on the production line using suitable hooks.

Primer Coating
As the base coating, the primer improves the coating's permeability resistance, enhances substrate protection, stabilizes the metal surface, strengthens adhesion between the topcoat and the substrate, and ensures uniform color appearance.

Topcoat
The topcoat is the key decorative layer, providing the required color and visual effect while protecting the metal surface from environmental exposure and ultraviolet radiation. It significantly enhances anti-aging performance and is the thickest coating layer in the system.

Clear Coat (Varnish)
The clear coat further improves resistance to external corrosion, protects the topcoat, enhances metallic gloss, and delivers a more refined and premium appearance.

Curing
After three coating layers are applied, the panels enter the curing oven. The curing temperature is typically between 180°C and 250°C, with a curing time of approximately 20 minutes.

With advanced production processes and strict quality control, GNEE ensures that every aluminum veneer panel delivers durability, aesthetic appeal, and long-term performance for modern architectural applications.
