The typical anodizing unit price is 1.8-2.5 times that of ordinary aluminum plates (data from 2025 show: the average price of 3mm anodized aluminum plates is 380 yuan/㎡ vs. 160 yuan/㎡ for ordinary aluminum plates).
Difference in raw material loss
Anodizing requires a 0.2-0.3mm processing allowance to avoid damaging the oxide layer, and the raw material utilization rate is 12%-15% lower than that of ordinary aluminum plates.
Electrolyte loss accounts for 8%-10% of the total cost of anodizing (ordinary aluminum plates do not have this expense).

Raw material cost fluctuations
Anodized aluminum sheet requires a purity of ≥99.7% for aluminum ingots, and its price is more significantly affected by international aluminum price fluctuations (the price of A00 aluminum ingots of Changjiang Nonferrous Metals in 2025 is RMB 23,000/ton, with a fluctuation range of up to ±15%).
Processing capacity limitation
Anodizing production lines need to be equipped with special equipment such as constant temperature electrolytic cells and high-pressure washing units. The average daily capacity of a single production line is only 800-1200㎡, which is much lower than the 5000㎡/day of ordinary aluminum plate rolling production lines.
4. Added value composition
Aesthetic premium
Anodizing can achieve metallic primary colors such as titanium and champagne, and the color difference is controlled to ΔE≤1.5 (ordinary spraying process ΔE≥3.0). High-end construction projects pay 20%-30% color customization fees for this.
Functional expansion
The microporous structure of the oxide film can absorb lubricants to meet the needs of special scenarios such as automotive engine parts. The premium rate of such industrial products is 35%-40%.
