What Is 1050 Aluminum Coil

1050 aluminum coil is a wrought, commercially pure aluminum product containing at least 99.5% aluminum. It belongs to the 1000-series aluminum alloys, which are well known for excellent corrosion resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and superior formability, while offering relatively low mechanical strength.

1050 aluminum coil cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Its strength is adjusted only through cold working, and it is supplied in a wide range of tempers such as O, H12, H14, H16, H18, H22, and H24. Typical thickness ranges from 0.10 mm to 8.0 mm, with widths up to 2650 mm. Surface finishes include mill finish, polished, brushed, embossed, anodized, or coated (PVDF, PE, etc.), and production complies with international standards, including ASTM, EN, JIS, and GB.

Thanks to its ductility and conductivity, 1050 aluminum coil from GNEE is widely used in electrical components, chemical equipment, signage, decorative panels, and heat exchangers.

1050 Aluminum Coil Characteristics

1050 aluminum coil is lightweight, nonmagnetic, and highly reflective. Its high aluminum purity provides:

  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • High electrical and thermal conductivity
  • Outstanding formability and surface quality
  • Easy anodizing, polishing, brushing, embossing, or coating

These properties make 1050 aluminum coil ideal for applications where strength is not critical but ductility, conductivity, and appearance are essential.

1050 Aluminum Coil Applications

Industry Typical Uses
Electrical Conductors, busbars, transformers
Chemical Tanks, pipelines, corrosion-resistant equipment
HVAC Heat exchangers, air-conditioning components
Construction Decorative panels, cladding, signage
Lighting Reflectors, lamp housings
Consumer Goods Kitchenware, utensils, packaging materials
Industrial Sheet-metal parts, stamped components

1050 Aluminum Coil Tempers Supplied by GNEE

GNEE supplies 1050 aluminum coil in a full range of tempers, from soft annealed O temper to hard cold-worked conditions such as H18, H24, H26, and H28, meeting different forming and processing requirements.
