What is 1050 grade aluminum?

 What is 1050 grade aluminum?

Grade 1050 is the most common grade of aluminum sheet. Grade 1050 aluminum is the lowest in strength of all commercial grades of aluminum. It is most commonly found in the H14 temper, which is classified as semi-hard in technical terms. 1050 aluminum sheet is a common specification in the 1000 series of aluminum alloys, also known as 1050 pure aluminum sheet. 1050 H14 is an aluminum grade with extremely strong ductility, so it is most often used by fabricators and sheet metal workers who bend the sheets into the desired shape. The "50" in 1050 means that the aluminum content reaches 99.5%, which is also a qualified standard. 1050 aluminum sheet contains fewer other elements in the production process, so the production process is simple, the aluminum sheet is cheap, and it is widely used in industrial production.

What is the difference between aluminum 1050 and 1350?

Property Indicator Aluminum Alloy 1050 Aluminum Alloy 1350-H14 (common temper)
Tensile Strength 76–140 MPa (varies by temper) Approx. 110 MPa
Yield Strength 25–120 MPa (varies by temper) Approx. 96 MPa
Elongation at Break 4.6%–37% (from annealed to soft temper) Approx. 6.8%
‌Characteristic‌ ‌1050 Aluminum‌ ‌1350 Aluminum‌
‌Electrical Conductivity‌ Good conductivity, suitable for general electrical scenarios (e.g., heat sinks)‌. Superior conductivity, specifically designed for high-conductivity requirements (e.g., wires and cables)‌.
‌Strength‌ Low strength, cannot be strengthened by heat treatment‌. Also low strength, but can be slightly improved by cold working‌.
‌Corrosion Resistance‌ Excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for exposed environments‌. Good corrosion resistance, but attention is needed for long-term electrochemical corrosion protection‌.
‌Workability‌ High ductility, easy to stamp and weld‌. Similar workability, but with more emphasis on balancing ductility and conductivity‌.

What is the cheapest grade of aluminum?

The cheapest aluminum alloy grades are generally: 1xxx series pure aluminum, especially 1050, 1060 and 1100.
Why are they the cheapest?
A series aluminum is an aluminum material with a high aluminum content, with a purity of generally ≥99.5%, few impurities and low smelting cost. In addition, the processing of a series of aluminum plates is simple, and does not require complex alloying or heat treatment, and mainly relies on cold processing.
Pure aluminum plates have low strength and are not suitable for high-strength uses. They meet general decoration, electrical conductivity, heat dissipation and other needs.
Pure aluminum plates have large output, wide application, mature market, stable production capacity, and fierce price competition.

What is the nearest aluminum grade to 1050 aluminum?

5754 Aluminum. Both 1050 aluminum and 5754 aluminum are aluminum alloys. They have a very high 96% of their average alloy composition in common. There are 30 material properties with values for both materials.
