What is Swaged aluminum bar grating
Swaged aluminum bar grating is manufactured by inserting tube cross bars into bearing bars with pre-punched holes. The crossbars are then permanently secured using a swaging reshaping process. With cross bars recessed below the top surface of the bearing bars, swage-locked aluminum grating offers clean lines and a distinct appearance.

Swage-Locked Aluminum Bar Grating
Swage-locked aluminum grating is manufactured with either an "I" shaped or rectangular bearing bar. These bearing bars are permanently locked to the crossbars through a forging process that reshapes the crossbars. I-beams reduce the open space of the grating due to the flange width, but the I-beam lock pattern weighs less and maintains the rated load. Locked pattern I-beam grating is the most widely used and offers comparable strength to rectangular bars of the same depth, but at a much lower cost and weight. Rectangular swage-locked units are available with the crossbars flush with the top of the bearing bars, or with the crossbars closer to the middle of the support bars. These options are available if a specific look is desired.
The surface of Swage-Locked Aluminum Bar Grating is available in both smooth and serrated styles, with the serrated style being more suitable for use scenarios where slip resistance is required.
