After learning that the management was wavering in the face of this project, GNEE urgently held a management meeting to make it clear that standardization should be promoted with conviction, firmness and perseverance, and asked for continuous promotion in the unit to implement the policy of replacing people if they don't push for standardization, and at the same time, set up a project team to analyze the 7 dimensions of application, alloy, thickness, width, core, length, and coiling method one by one, and repeatedly discussed the matter, Promote optimization. Eventually, the number of specifications was reduced from more than 1,200 to 40.
The advantages of good, fast and economical brought by the standardization of aluminum foil have enabled GNEE to increase the output of aluminum foil from 10,000 tons to 13,500 tons, increase the output rate of effective orders from 87% to 97%, reduce the number of quality complaints, streamline the staff of the aluminum foil workshop by 50%, and streamline the auxiliary materials, such as wooden boxes and labels, by 90%, and through the production of the standard products in the stockpile, we have realized that the products can be shipped as soon as the order is placed, which has helped the customers reduce the inventory and save the capital cost.
