Due to the long-term overcapacity in the aluminum foil industry and price fluctuations in the domestic market, many companies have set their sights on overseas markets. Currently, nearly one-third of my country's aluminum foil production is oriented to the export market. According to data, China's aluminum foil exports were 1.293 million tons. Later, due to the impact of the epidemic, China's aluminum foil exports dropped to 1.231 million tons. Compared with the export volume, China's aluminum foil import volume is relatively low, with import volume of only 77,000 tons, and the imported aluminum foil is all high-end products.

In terms of export value, China's aluminum foil exports to South Korea were US$354 million, followed by Thailand with an export value of US$278 million, and India in third place with an export value of US$261 million. Among the top ten countries in China's aluminum foil export value, there is not much difference in export value. It proves that China's aluminum foil export destinations are relatively scattered, which reflects the strong international competitiveness of my country's aluminum foil. From the perspective of import amount, Japan and South Korea account for a large proportion, which reflects that the current mass production of high-end aluminum foil is mainly concentrated in Japan and South Korea.
