Lithium Battery Aluminum Foil

Lithium batteries are composed of a positive current collector (current collector electrode), a box, a sealing plate, a negative plate, etc. The requirements for the corresponding materials are: the collector foil should not only have high strength and conductivity, but also be flat; the box material should have high strength and formability, as well as good expansion resistance; the sealing material should have good Formability and laser weldability; laminated packaging aluminum materials should have high strength and formability; busbar materials must have high strength and conductivity, as well as good bending processability.

Lithium battery aluminum foil

The battery aluminum foil we usually refer to refers to the lithium-ion battery positive electrode foil. This is actually not accurate enough. It is best to call this non-modified positive electrode foil with a thickness of about 0.1mm as the current collector aluminum foil to distinguish it from lithium (ion) Other aluminum foils used for batteries, such as foils in aluminum-plastic films for battery soft packages, tab foils, modified carbon-coated foils, etc. On the one hand, the current collector aluminum foil is the current collector electrode, and on the other hand, it is the carrier of the positive or negative electrode materials of the lithium battery, that is, the lithium battery material must be coated on it. In fact, the current collector aluminum foil can be referred to as battery foil.

Positive electrode structure

The positive electrode is composed of positive electrode current collector (pole tab), high-temperature tape, positive electrode matrix and positive electrode material. The pole lug is about 0.1mm alloy foil such as 1070, 1060, 1235, 1230, 1100, 8011, 1N30, 3003, etc. The most commonly used alloys are 1235, 1070, 1100, and 3003 alloys because of their high strength. The positive electrode substrate is a foil approximately 0.016mm thick.

Shell and sealing materials

The casing is made of thin aluminum plates and requires high formability and strength. It should also have excellent pressure resistance to suppress expansion of the casing caused by repeated charging and discharging.
