In products such as electronics, automobiles, motors, instruments, electrical appliances, meters, home appliances, and communications, 60% to 80% of parts must be formed by molds. The high precision, high complexity, high consistency, high productivity and low consumption demonstrated by using molds to produce parts are unmatched by other processing and manufacturing methods. There are many materials suitable for molds, among which 5 series and 6 series alloy aluminum plates are commonly used mold materials.
At present, 5052 aluminum plate is a widely used aluminum plate material with excellent performance and wide application fields. Higher requirements are put forward for the stamping forming process and forming molds using 5052 aluminum plate materials.
(1) Surface lubrication of aluminum plate materials is very important for forming. At present, aluminum plates generally use dry lubrication. This lubrication process can give aluminum plate materials better formability than grease lubrication.
(2) The forming mold must ensure good forming process. The bonding rate of the mold's blank holder must reach more than 85%, and the blank holder and mold surface must be smooth and clean. If conditions permit, chrome plating should be performed.
(3) Aluminum plate forming also has high requirements for the equipment's blank holder force output control. If it is a single-action press, try not to use air cushion forming equipment. Instead, use a CNC hydraulic cushion or a servo motor control cushion with more stable pressure control.
