In June 2025, Bangladesh completed the strategic purchase of 3,000 tons of 5052-H32 aluminum alloy plates at GNEE. This batch of high-specification aluminum materials will be mainly used in electronic equipment housings, vertical silos and industrial machinery manufacturing, marking a key step in the country's manufacturing industry's transformation to lightweight and corrosion-resistant materials.
Core application scenarios
Aluminum shell for electronic equipment protection
With its excellent electromagnetic shielding performance (conductivity 35% IACS) and thermal conductivity of 138W/m·K, 5052-H32 aluminum alloy has become an ideal shell material for electronic products such as smartphones and photovoltaic inverters. Its H32 state hardness reaches 60-70HB, which can effectively resist transportation shocks.
Grain storage aluminum silos
The alloy aluminum plate contains 2.2-2.8% magnesium, forming a dense oxide film, which is particularly suitable for the construction of vertical aluminum silos. Compared with carbon steel, the acid corrosion resistance of grain is improved by more than 3 times. The ultra-wide (2500mm) aluminum plate reduces 30% of the welds and significantly enhances the sealing.
Industrial equipment aluminum structural parts
5052-H32 aluminum with a tensile strength of 230-280MPa can achieve a weld strength of 90% of the parent material through argon arc welding. It has been successfully used in load-bearing parts such as bus skins and gas cylinders, and its weight is 60% lighter than stainless steel.
