With the rapid increase in the production of recycled aluminum to match the aluminum scrap imports from 44.7 million tons in 2002 increased to 2.8535 million tons in 2010, an average annual growth rate of 59.82%. Aluminum scrap imports accounted for the proportion of the year's recycled aluminum production increased from 34.38% in 2002 to 75.09% in 2010. Domestic recycled aluminum scrap from 640,000 tons in 2002 grew to 1.06 million tons in 2010 (metal volume), an average annual growth rate of 7.29%. The new batch of recycled aluminum enterprises generally have a higher starting point for investment, a larger enterprise scale, more advanced technology and equipment, from the traditional family workshop mode of production to the scale of operation of the enterprise model change.
At present, the industry's leading enterprise Shanghai Xinge Group Company annual production capacity has reached 650,000 tons. It is expected that by the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, China's recycled aluminum industry will cultivate a number of large-scale, technologically and technologically advanced enterprises, recycled aluminum production will reach 5.8 million tons.
